Why pay when Google Translate is free?
For signs, menus and single sentences, don't — it's genuinely good and it works offline. This is better at one specific thing: a back-and-forth where the previous sentence changes the meaning of the next one. Use your free 50 on a real conversation and see whether you notice.
Does it work offline?
No. This is the honest limitation. Keep an offline app for dead spots.
Will it eat my roaming data?
About 20 KB per exchange with the built-in voice — a hundred exchanges is under 2 MB. The natural AI voice adds roughly 50 KB per reply.
Is there a subscription?
